Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is committed to assisting with the needs of those living in poverty abroad. A maternity wing and health services in Thika Town at Thika Memorial Hospital (renamed Mary Sick of the Mission Hospital) in Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa was funded initially by Delta in 1955.
Since 2017, the Gadsden County Florida Alumnae Chapter has collaborated with Hosea International Ministries in Pignon, Haiti to provide various services to the people of Pignon. The chapter collected and provided handbags and toiletries along with school supplies to Pignon.
Dedicated to meeting the needs of our world’s children living in unfortunate situations and/or circumstances, whether locally or abroad, Gadsden County Florida Alumnae Chapter continues to explore the needs of the less fortunate to identify how we can best serve and support others.
